Show Mom You Love Her on Mother's Day

The weekend is coming! And this Sunday is a special day. It is the second
Sunday of May. That means it is Mother's Day! (sfx: celebration sound)

You know what you should do on Mother's Day, right?
你知道母親節該做甚麼吧？You should show your mother that you love her. How
can you do that? Of course, you can say, "Mom, I love you." You can also give
her a gift. 可以對她說你愛她還有買禮物給她。Many people give their mothers
flowers or chocolates, for example. 。Many people take their moms to a
restaurant to celebrate.　有人會買花或巧克力或者帶她出去吃飯。

People celebrate Mother's Day around the world. But not everyone celebrates
it on the same day. Taiwan, the United States, Canada, and Australia
celebrate it this Sunday, May 10. Almost 50 countries around the world
celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May.
差不多有50個國家，在五月的第二個星期日慶祝母親節。

Some other countries celebrate it on different days.
而有些國家在不同的日子慶祝。In England this year, people celebrated Mother's
Day on March 22. In Russia, Mother's Day is held in November, and in
Indonesia, Mother's Day is in December.

What if you don't have any money to buy your mother a present or to take her
to a nice restaurant? 沒錢的話要怎麼慶祝？That's okay, because that's not
what Mother's Day is about. Mother's Day isn't about showing how much money
you can spend buying cards and presents. It is about actually showing your
mother how much you love her.
慶祝母親節不是在表現你多有錢，而是要展現你的愛。So get creative! Spend time
with her, help her with something. Think of something you can do to make your
mom's day better!

So, even if you don't give your mom a gift this Sunday. Show her that you
love her. That is the most special gift, anyway.
